Follow Up on Molly the Greyhound

Since Amanda’s last question on greyhound racing to the Parliament in June, a further three greyhounds have been killed on track, seven were euthanised off-track due to race-related injuries, and ten more sustained major injuries. These figures exclude unreported incidents that occur away from the track.

Amanda asked the Minister what causes Racing and Wagering WA had identified in its investigations and, crucially, what safety measures or reforms had been implemented to stop these tragedies.

In response, the Government provided no answers, instead instructing Amanda to place the question on notice — a delay that leaves urgent welfare concerns unresolved.
